3 stationery shops worth visiting in Bordeaux, France

There are quite many shops for stationery fans in Bordeaux, I have decided to select three of those I have visited and introduce them to you, with exact locations and brief descriptions

Le Goût du Papier

88 rue du Palais Gallien 33000 Bordeaux
https://legoutdupapier.fr/

It is a concept store slash paper boutique with a range of lovely and unique products from independent producers, mainly from France, cute Japanese washi-tapes and stickers, letter sets, paper for origami. Some other brands, just to name a few, are for example: Lamali, Rico Design, Clairefontaine (and Rhodia), Flow, Mon Petit Art, Gwenaëlle Trolez, Mr. Wonderful, Sonia Cavallini.

And!

I found a notebook made out of elephant poo. Tell me that’s not something!

Papeterie Sainte Catherine

195 rue Sainte Catherine, 33000 Bordeaux

You find the stationary shops classics there: Paperblanks, Leuchtturm, Clairefontaine (and Rhodia), Lamali from Nepal, a selection of vintage-style caligraphy pens and whatnot, new for me was the french brand Cartes D’Art.

Fnac Bordeaux

50 Rue Sainte-Catherine, 33000 Bordeaux

Fnac is a chain of department stores with different sections, one of them – stationery. While in the region, I visited more of them and this one seems to have a bigger section of stationery products then the others.

They have a nice collection of writing equipment (Pentel, Pilot, Stabilo, Uniball, etc.) and the notebooks, journals from Clairefontaine, Rhodia, Oxford, Mr. Wonderful, Moleskine. But what made my heart jump with joy were the notebooks from Alibabette editions which reminded me of my favourite stationery/ art supply multistorey shop in Paris: Rougier&Plé where I discovered them first.

Here is an other exquisite notebook I discovered while in France.
